Every PDC employee completes comprehensive safety training before stepping onto a job site. This includes OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications, specialized electrical safety protocols, and ongoing education to keep current with industry standards and code requirements. Our team holds certifications in arc flash safety, confined space entry, aerial lift operation, and other specialized areas, depending on their role. Beyond individual certifications, new hires go through our Safe-Spark Academy, a three-day training program that emphasizes the basic importance of safety, electrical knowledge, and equipment.
For almost a decade, PDC has maintained an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of under 1.0, well below the industry average. How did we get here? This rating reflects our track record of incident prevention through consistent execution of our safety standards. Beyond checklists and protocols, our culture encourages any team member to stop work if they identify an unsafe condition. We track leading indicators—not just incident rates—to continuously improve our safety performance.
